Monday, June 27th - Weekly Fishing Report for Minersville Reservoir

Water temp is 68-69 deg this past week. The water level is dropping as the runoff from the Beaver (Tushar) Mts is about over. The past three weeks has been quite windy and hot every afternoon. The wind is usually a gentle breeze from daylight to about 10 AM.

The reservoir has been recently stocked with about 15,000 catch-able rainbow trout. They are fun to catch on small flies, fished under an indicator. The large "bows" have moved out into the lake and are being caught from daylight, till the wind shifts about 10 AM.

The bass are on the beds, with many eggs hatching. The bass tournaments have been successful, with 3-4 lb class being taken.

Just a reminder -- The Minersville Res has special regulations on trout. It is illegal to use any bait, and a limit of one trout, at least 22 inches, may be taken. Check the Utah State Fishing Proclamation 2016 for complete regulations.
