MULTI-USE FACILITY PRESENTATION

Beaver County is considering a multi-use indoor facility to be built at the Minersville Lake Park.

The project will include a 71,363 square foot steel building, plaza area, retractable and stationary bleachers, seating for 1,800, restrooms, kitchen, concession stand, and livestock paneling system. The facility will also have rubber mats that can be placed on the arena floor to allow for a wide variety of non-equine uses.

Currently there is not a facility within the County to host large assemblies for entertainment, recreation, or other community based activities. The facility will allow for a wide range of uses, including youth sport activities, concerts, exhibitions, etc, that appeal to the entire community.
It will also allow the County to host events that can help offset the operation and maintenance costs of the facility.

Another benefit to hosting events will be patronage to local businesses and hotels. Economic benefit to our local businesses is conservatively estimated at $1,000,000 pr/year.

The western and agriculture lifestyle has always been part of our heritage and it continues to be a critical part of our culture. The Wright and Bradshaw families, five time Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association world Champions and world renowned National Final Rodeo winners, resemble that culture that so many citizens within Beaver County enjoy.

Our desire is to make the equestrian and western ranching lifestyle a prominent part of our future.

The County has a history of investing in projects that improve the quality of life of our citizens.

  • Swimming Pools
  • Golf Course
  • Race Track
  • Libraries
  • Fairgrounds
  • Playgrounds
  • KT & Milford Gymnasiums
  • Minersville Lake Park
  • Beaver & Milford City Baseball Complexes
  • Correction Facility
  • Hospitals
The multi-use facility will allow for year round recreation and entertainment in a variety of areas, something currently unavailable in Beaver County.

Locating the multi-use facility at the Minersville Lake park will set this facility a part from other facilities due to the recreation mecca that does/will exist. When you combine this facility with fishing, camping, water sports, trail riding, ATVing, and a Challenge Trail, it becomes a stand out destination.

The project can be funded through existing funds and no new taxes or fees are required for this project. The County was successful in obtaining a $2.5 million dollar grant for this project.

The presentation includes detailed information on this project. We hope you will take the time to view this information and please call one of the individuals below with any questions.
