The findings of the report were presented to the public on 11/11/19. The Beaver County Commission ordered the feasibility analysis to receive a third party independent review of the project.
The report analyzed the capital expenditures needed to build the facility and the ongoing operation and maintenance costs. It also analyzed the projected revenue to local businesses and to the facility directly. The results project the following returns.
- Capital Costs: For every $1 spent, there will be a $1.19 return to the economy.
- Operations - High Visitor Spending: For every $1 spent, there will be a $2.15 return to the economy.
- Operations - Low Visitor Spending: For every $1 spent, there will be a $1.75 return to the economy.
- Operations Only: For every $1 spent, there will be a $.56 return to the economy.
These results were based upon hosting 20 events per year. The report also emphasized the need to hire a dedicated person to assure the 20 events are held.
