[ARCHIVED] Milford Solar Phase II Virtual Open House

Solar Pic

This facility is be constructed on approximately 2,190 acres of mostly private property north of Milford in Beaver County, Utah. Approximately 29 acres would occur on land managed by the BLM.

The virtual open house is jointly sponsored by Beaver County and Milford Solar Phase II, LLC (Milford Solar Phase II).  Milford Solar Phase II is the proponent of the Project and an affiliate of Longroad Energy, a renewable energy developer focused on utility-scale wind and solar energy projects throughout North America which has developed other solar projects in Beaver County.

On February 28, 2019, Milford Solar Phase II submitted an application to Beaver County for a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) to construct and operate the Milford Solar Phase II Project.  As part of the CUP process, an Environmental Assessment Report (EAR) that will document environmental impacts and mitigation for the Project is being prepared, which will consider information obtained through the virtual open house.

Members of the public and all interested parties are invited to attend the virtual open house for a presentation about the project. After the presentation, there will be an opportunity to ask questions and provide input. Beaver County, Milford Solar Phase II and Longroad Energy are interested in input on any issues or concerns with the Project, and on any environmental issues or considerations that should be addressed in the EAR.

In light of restrictions on in-person public gatherings due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the open house will be held electronically consistent with Governor Herbert’s  March 18, 2020 Executive Order -- Suspending the Enforcement of Provisions of Utah Code §§ 52-4-202 and 52-4-207, and Related State Agency Orders, Rules, and Regulations, Due to Infectious Disease COVID-19 Novel Coronavirus.

To participate in the virtual open house, a link to the virtual meeting will be provided on the home page of the Beaver County website www.beaver.utah.gov
